Angelina Jolie Biography

Angelina Jolie (born June 4, 1975) is an American film actress, a former fashion model, and a Goodwill Ambassador for the UN Refugee Agency. She is often cited by popular media as one of the world's most beautiful women and her off-screen life is widely reported. She has received three Golden Globe Awards, two Screen Actors Guild Awards, and an Academy Award.

After appearing as a child alongside her father Jon Voight in the 1982 film Lookin' to Get Out, Jolie's acting career began in earnest a decade later with the low budget production Cyborg 2 (1993) and she played her first leading role in a major film in Hackers (1995). She appeared in the critically acclaimed biographical films George Wallace (1997) and Gia (1998), and won an Academy Award for Best Supporting Actress for her performance in the drama Girl, Interrupted (1999).

As any expectant mother can imagine, lying around in hospital waiting to give birth to twins must be frustrating. So Angelina Jolie will have been happy to get a visit from her two daughters, Zahara and Shiloh, who arrived with their dad Brad Pitt.

Angelina Jolie has checked in to a French maternity clinic and is expected to soon give birth to twins, bringing her brood with Brad Pitt to six, the hospital has said.

"As part of the normal monitoring of her pregnancy, as it has been arranged for a long time, Ms. Angelina Jolie was admitted to the Lenval Foundation's Santa Maria maternity clinic," said a statement from the Nice-based clinic on Tuesday.

Angelina Jolie is well-known for her charity work. Now the star has literally given the clothes off her back to help those in need.

Mum-to-be Angelina has donated the leather jacket she wore in her new flick Wanted to raise funds for hurricane-hit regions. Selling on online auction site Ebay, the extra-small jacket, which features a diagonal front zip, has already attracted bids reaching 00. The auction closes on July 1.

Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt's foundation has donated {lastnews(5, 1)} million to children affected by the Iraq war.

The Jolie-Pitt Foundation will provide 0,000 for school supplies and education programs for refugee children in Iraq and 0,000 for American children who either lost a parent deployed in Iraq or have a parent serving in that country.

The donations for American children will go to a tutoring initiative at the Armed Services YMCA Operation Hero Program.
