Angelina Jolie has hinted that she may quit acting to
concentrate on her
charity work.
The 'Tomb Raider' star, who was appointed as Goodwill
Ambassador to the United Nations four years ago, says
she prefers working with the aid organisation to the big
screen and is struggling to motivate herself to return
to her day job.
She said: "I've had a few months off and I'm having
trouble going back to work because I'm finding that my
time at home with my son and travelling around the world
is just more fulfilling and more important to me." "I
can't find anything that interests me enough to go back
to work. I'm not excited about going to a film set." But
the Oscar-winning beauty says she would never stop
acting completely because she relies on the massive pay
cheques. The 29-year-old star - who commands a reported
$12 million per film - says she relies on her big screen
roles to subsidise her lifestyle and needs to maintain
her high profile to draw attention to good causes.
She added: "I know that by doing films, making money and
remaining in the public eye, I'm able to fund more
programs and I'm able to bring more attention to that...
So I know I have to do both. But it is difficult to go
back to work."
